Which is better, dental implant or bridge?

Hi I have a problem with a tooth, and after going to the periodontist he said it looks bad. It already had a root canal, an apicoectomy, infection and then cleared up. I am supposed to see my dentist with the x-ray supplied from the perio. He said it showed infection and that could lead to other problems. Infection that could go into the blood stream and cause diabetes, stroke etc. Could it reallyl cause those things, I am healthy and don't see a little tooth problem causing so much trouble. Any way he mentioned a bridge, but that would distroy 2 other good teeth, or an implant, but I see that takes almost a year to complete, He does not do either, he is a perio, so has nothing to gain either way. But what does anyone suggest?

Which is better, dental implant or bridge?
Only a Dentist can even tell you if your a candidate for an implant. There has to be enough bone to do this. And yes your periodontist is right a infection can get into your blood stream and cause even heart problems anytime there is infection being in your mouth or any other part of your body it is not good. Relax it took a while for these problems to arrive and it will take time to repair the damage. You have to remember that oral health is just important as another health issue.
Reply:Dental implant surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.

They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
