The most important thing for the dog is to make sure that she has a very quiet place to give birth in, preferably a whelping box. Otherwise, you seem really well prepared. All going well, she probably won't need a lot of assistance, but you have all of the suppies on hand that you should need. Kudohs on having the vet on call.

Don't feel silly for being concerned because "she is just a dog". Pets are important members of the family and I got just as anxious when my hamster gave birth. It's a good thing to be concerned for your pet's well-being.

Good luck!
Reply:It sounds like you have everything covered.
Reply:put her in a room that's not busy, lay down a blanket, maybe give her stuffed animals....try not to put your scent on the blanket to badly....other than that she knows what to do.
Reply:Just make sure you stay near and stay calm. She will sense that you are at ease and it will be better for her. You have all the basics covered,so you should be good. Just remember to watch for warning signs of problems!
Reply:get her a place to stay that's quiet and warm and offer her reassurance by way of strokes. Puppies are coming soon.
Reply:Relax and breath! I know it's difficult to watch the pet you love in pain. Just keep her comfortable. Reassure her that you are near.

She'll be a good mom and know what to do when the time comes.
Reply:You sound like a mature person and are definately prepared for this.

The best thing you can do is keep her company, my female dog is very attached to me, and if you leave a dogs side during labor, she could possibly HALT labor until you come back to her.

Make sure she has an endless supply of water and take her on potty breaks.

Your presence will be soothing enough for her.
Reply:The best you can do is leave her alone.Check on her during the process..quietly and no real touching her or the pups either.Unless she acts like she wants a pat on the head or something.i had a dog that wanted to be loved on while she was giving birth and if i tried to leave the room she would follow me.lol and i can't blame her...poor baby.

But most dogs dont like it.They are in pain, struggling and working hard, giving birth repeatedly. And between giving birth to a puppy, chewing the cord then cleaning it...there just isnt much time between puppy births for her to rest.So she will be tired and, nervous and possibly snappy.

Look at it this way...imagine someone in the room while your in labor or giving birth touching you, situating your pillow...saying honey are you ok, do u want some water, Haney breath, huney dont cry...are you going to be ok huney.Maybe you should lay on your right side, no maybe you should lay on your back, just relax,oh you will be fine..do you need anything..................lol eventually you might get frustrated and scream ......GET OUT! lol
Reply:lol u r all set just stay there with her xD gl hf
Reply:You might want to go and get one of them things that people use for babies(to get the snot out of there nose) just in case one of the pups is choking. And also you cant paint their toenails diff. colors so it will be easier to track them on their whelphin schedule
