Fluoride in our tap water?

Does boiling water kill fluoride (like bacteria) in tap water? The sonofabitch water district is increasing the amount of fluoride in the water supply to reduce decay. Sha right! Like they really have any concern about our dental care!

Fluoride in our tap water?
Fluoride doesn't die, its not living. Boiling it won't do anything for you. Ingesting too much fluoride can lead to a disease known as fluorosis, but if your living in most places in the world i'm sure they've made sure the levels are safe for consumption.
Reply:Fluoride is not alive and cannot be killed, by heat or otherwise. It is simply fluorine ions dissolved in the water. It reinforces tooth enamel, thereby slowing decay.
Reply:No, fluoride is added as sodium fluoride and boiling will not effect it. Don't knock fluoridation of water. About the only people who are not convinced that fluoridation decreases tooth decay these days also believe the earth is flat and that the UN has a bunch of black heliocopters in Canada ready to invade the US and that fluoridation is a Communist plot (although it is no longer clear which Communists are doing it).
Reply:It is true. Fluoride is proven to protect the enamel of your teeth. It is one of the active ingredients in almost every toothpaste.Fluoride is not a bacteria. Bacteria can be killed by boiling. Toxins produced by bacteria can't be destroyed by boiling.
