After 4 years of AirForce, What do i DO?

I already signed up for 4 years of USAF.

My questions are...

what will i be able to do after serving for 4 years...

I think i will get a job like Dental or Medical assisntant...

Or something like Chiroprotic Assistant...

maybe Supply Manager...

1.What jobs will be open for me ? How much will i be able to make?

I didn't even go to college so i don't have high education...

I heard its gonna be easy for me to get a job in civilian life.. but juss lil bit worried about my life...

Cuz i don't know if its a right choice for me, some say going to college will be a better idea...

2. Serving AF can accelerate my life? is it juss some BS that recruiters say?

And while serving in AF, i was thinking to save every pay - check i get... maybe only spend about 150 bucks a month.

My goal was to save at least $60,000 by the time i get out...

3. Is it possible to live only spending 150 dollaz or less a month while serving in AF?

Sorry for so many questions...

After 4 years of AirForce, What do i DO?
Many jobs in the AF provide training and experience that are valuable in the civilian world. Which jobs will be open for you and how much you can earn depends on what you're trained to do. The AF gives good training.

If you're well disciplined, you can probably get by on $150, since you'll be living in the barracks and eating in the chow hall, as long as you don't go out partying a lot or buy a car. Also, don't get pregnant or married.
Reply:make a career out of your service life after you are finished in the air force, will be able to travel and see a lot of exciting places! there are a lot of college graduates that do not have jobs, but I think when you are in the service you can work on getting a college education, first get your high school diploma. what expenses would you really have in the air force? yes, you could save money then.. if you don't even have a high school diploma, you will not be able to get into any college anyway and if you don't have lots of money then student loans can tie you down later on in your life.
Reply:How much you save is up to you, but don't forget to live a life while you are in. Going to college would be the smartest and maybe the most fun thing you ever did once you get out. Put as much money as you can into any fund the AF will match or contribute to in any way. College can be a blast, especially if you aren't broke. The military is a great place for a person to learn some discipline and figure out what to pursue for a career. You can always work on your degree while in the AF. Just be careful that the credits you earn will be transferable to an accredited 4 year college or university.
Reply:You can save a lot of money in the Air Force if you are willing to make an effort to do so. It will be tough, you might want to allott yourself a little more than $150. Make sure you sign up for the MGIB though. I am using it now to go to college and it is pretty good. I get 1411.11 a month untaxed, and it is barely enough for me to pay for tuition and books and all that. Just make sure you have some money saved when you are getting ready to get out if you are interested in going to college.

60,000 is very ambitous! Good luck!
Reply:1. Any of the assistant jobs should transfer pretty easily into civilian life, though I would suggest changing chiro assistant to say physical therapist, there are some big bucks in that field. As a supply manager I guess you could go work for any warehouse distribution, or any type of supply business though not as glamorous as the med/dental field. Pay-wise I'd say go on Monster.com / military.com or something like that to see what they pay is for those fields.

1a. If you can afford to go to college vs going to the military I'd say go to college, if not you can knock out some college while you're serving it'll be tough but not impossible. Also if you end up in the med field get any license or certification that you can get while serving, will be a positive on your resume. And of course sign up for the GI bill so you'll have money for college if you decide to get out %26amp; check with your recruiter to see if your state pays for Veterans tuition, less money out of your pocket.

2. Accelerating your life is the NAVY slogan. Yes it is propoganda but not complete BS, you will get to do %26amp; see some very interesting things...some will be pretty mundane too.

2a %26amp; 3. Spending only $150 is possible but you will have to do without alot of stuff. Hope you weren't planning on owning a car, cell phone, cable TV, internet %26amp; I don't think you'll have a very active social life. You will need to have a phone line in your dorm room so they can get ahold of you or you could get a cell phone just don't go over your minutes. You could volunteer to go on long TDYs to the desert since you won't be spending much money there %26amp; you'll get your pay tax-free %26amp; extra per diem. That will add more into your savings account. Though the best thing you could do is start a savings allotment so that money goes into your savings account before you even see it, thats what I do and then of course come up with a budget %26amp; stick with it.

Best of luck.
